Our home base is Lowry City, a small, quiet, friendly town, half way between Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri, "Where the Ozarks Meet the Plains", on 4 lane Missouri Highway 13. Here the Scott brothers were born and raised. Instilled with the traditional sense of pride in selling and servicing quality lines of merchandise, they strive to serve all of their customers by daily practicing the Golden Rule. When you come to see us, you'll find we have excellent access from either direction. If northbound on 13, you will drive about a block past us to the 1st crossover and back one block. We are on the West side of the highway. If southbound, slow down and you'll find us in the south edge of town on your right. We have easy access in and out of the lot, even if you are towing a car or trailer. We are just 6 miles from the water's edge of Truman Lake, an ideal area to visit while shopping with Scott's. While in the area, you might enjoy fishing, camping, hiking, 4-wheeling, water-skiing, boating, or just relaxing and enjoying the great Ozark scenery. When we started this business in 1969 people would just shake their heads and wonder why anyone would start an RV business in this part of the country. This was before many of the local lakes were in operation and hardly a campground to be found. Now we have hundreds, if not thousands of campgrounds within a 50-mile radius. Why did we start the business? We were shopping for a used travel trailer in 1969 and had to drive to Kansas City or Springfield to find any selection of RV's at all. We even drove all the way to St Louis. So we decided to give it a try ourselves, with the help of First National Bank in Clinton Missouri. Our goal was to sell 4 or 5 units in 1969, but instead the need for an RV dealer proved to be correct and we sold 19 that first year, and it has grown ever since.
